Be that girl.

Oil on wood.

This piece is my oldest work that continues to hold significance and inspiration for myself as an artist. It plays with themes of identity and expression. The bright yet muted colors bring a moodiness to the piece and some elements of darker themes are present. I have taken advantage of the oil paints’ slow drying and implemented fine line work throughout the portrait to add texture.
